Escalating conflict in the Middle East is driving mass displacement, straining already fragile systems and infrastructure, and deepening humanitarian need. Lebanon and Syria are experiencing some of the most acute pressures, as countries already contending with economic collapse, political instability, and vulnerable populations.
This Bulletin draws on insights from our charity partners and their teams on the ground, alongside Benesys’ internal research, to provide a focused snapshot of where support is most needed and some of the ways organisations are responding.

As part of Benesys’ mission to deliver sustainable support to exceptional charities and to identify underserved causes, we produce Crisis Bulletins in response to major global events. These are intended to help our clients and broader network understand where and how they can act.
THE SITUATION ON THE GROUND
The escalating conflict across countries in the Middle East is amplifying humanitarian needs in already extremely vulnerable communities. With further waves of displacement placing additional strain on essential services and infrastructure, there is a sharp increase in demand for informed and effective support for both the displaced and their host communities.
